What is the OKAP100 drip profile for balconies and terraces?

OKAP100 balcony drip profiles contain everything you need to secure floor edges and create an effective water drainage system from their surface. The set includes color-matched trims, corners, connectors, and end caps. Thanks to these elements, terrace drip profiles can be easily connected and adapted to the shape of any balcony or terrace.

The OKAP100 system is durable and resistant to changing weather conditions. The end caps are made of PVC, while the rest of the accessories are made of durable aluminum – they are anodized or painted.

We also offer other balcony profiles in many attractive finish styles. Familiarize yourself with our assortment to choose a solution tailored to your needs.

Accessories for OKAP100 profile – 90°, 135° corners, connectors, and end caps

The balcony drip system consists of practical, moisture- and damage-resistant accessories that allow joining profiles in a straight line, as well as at corners. A 90° corner is used where the balcony floor has a classic, perpendicular break, while a 135° corner allows finishing more obtuse angles. These appear, for example, on polygonal surfaces, which are often found in modern architectural designs.

Profile connectors are essential for aesthetically joining longer sections of trims, and dedicated end caps tightly seal the open edges of the structure near building walls. All these elements of the OKAP100 balcony drip profile create a cohesive water drainage system that protects the terrace base and the building's facade from damage.

OKAP100 aluminum balcony drip edge – colors and finish

Our offer includes balcony drip edge trims in several popular color versions, allowing you to easily choose the right solution for yourself. Available colors are chocolate brown, black, graphite, and dark grey. These shades of aluminum balcony drip edges will perfectly match both light and dark tiles on a balcony or terrace.

The OKAP100 profile comes in two types of finishes: glossy and matte. Aluminum balcony fittings with a matte finish perfectly complement modern tiles imitating concrete, natural stone, or raw cement. A glossy balcony drip edge is worth combining with smooth cladding in shades of anthracite, beige, or light grey.

The offered models comply with PN-EN ISO 12944 standards for protective coatings of powder-coated metal, which means that the terrace drip edges will serve you perfectly for many years.

In the Cezar store, you can also order stair nosings with non-slip rubber or stylish wooden finishes.

Price of OKAP100 drip profile – how much does the balcony system cost?

The price of the OKAP100 terrace drip profile largely depends on the size and shape of the finished surface. The longer the edges of the balcony or terrace, the greater the number of profiles and accessories needed to complete the system. The type of corners also influences the cost. For rectangular balconies, standard 90° corners are most often used, while for trapezoidal or pentagonal surfaces, slightly more expensive 135° obtuse corners will be a better choice.

Investing in aluminum balcony fittings and OKAP100 profile accessories is very cost-effective because the system reduces the risk of moisture penetration into the tiles and extends the lifespan of the entire structure. In our store, you can also purchase mounting adhesives and many other practical products for basic renovation work.

FAQ – Balcony drip profiles

What is the difference between OKAP100 and a regular drip profile?

The main difference is that when you purchase OKAP100, you receive not only the balcony drip edge trim itself but also a complete set of necessary accessories. All system elements are perfectly matched, durable, and sealed. Such a set significantly facilitates installation and ensures you quickly achieve an aesthetic finish for your terrace or balcony.

How many corners and connectors do I need for a balcony?

The number of corners corresponds to the number of corners of a given balcony. For a standard rectangular structure open on three sides, two external corners will be needed. Drip edge connectors are selected at the contact points, meaning always one for each connection of a straight profile with a corner and for each joint of two linear profiles. To determine their exact number, all edges of the balcony must be measured and divided into sections corresponding to the lengths of the system profiles.

How to install the OKAP100 balcony drip profile?

Terrace drip profiles are installed in the adhesive mortar layer by pressing their perforated flange directly into the adhesive applied to the substrate. The profile is gently tapped with a rubber mallet so that the adhesive flows out through the mounting holes, which guarantees a stable and durable embedding of the terrace drip trim. Then, adjacent tiles are laid, pressing them firmly against the profile to achieve an even and aesthetic edge finish.

Is OKAP100 also suitable for ground-level terraces?

The OKAP100 balcony drip profile is primarily intended for finishing the edges of balconies and cantilevered terraces where ceramic floor coverings are laid on an adhesive layer. It is usually not an optimal solution for ground-level terraces, as these structures require a different method of water drainage, which should flow freely into the ground or a drainage band around the building.

How long will the powder coating of the balcony profile last?

The use of high-quality materials and powder coating ensures that the terrace drip trims are highly resistant to UV radiation, moisture, and changing weather conditions. As a result, the aluminum balcony fittings retain their color, aesthetic appearance, and functionality for many years.
