Circular Economy

At CEZAR, we implement the principles of the Circular Economy in a concrete and measurable way in the process of manufacturing polystyrene mouldings. This is one of the areas of our activity where we have consciously designed a closed material loop, limiting raw material losses and increasing its reuse.

The production of polystyrene mouldings is carried out with high quality standards. Each batch of products is subject to control, and elements that do not meet the standards are treated as waste.

Selected post-production polystyrene waste is segregated and sent for further processing to "CEZAR-NORD PLAST" Sp. z o.o. instead of being disposed of.

Recycling is carried out within our group "CEZAR-NORD PLAST" Sp. z o.o., where the material is shredded and then regranulated. This process results in polystyrene regranulate, which returns to our production plant as a valuable secondary raw material.

The recovered material is used for the production of LPC strips at CEZAR PRZEDSIĘBIORSTWO PRODUKCYJNE Dariusz Bogdan Niewiński or for the production of underlays at "CEZAR-NORD PLAST" Sp. z o.o.

Thanks to this, polystyrene remains in circulation – from a product that did not meet quality requirements, it once again becomes a raw material for the creation of a new product. The finished product returns to the market, and the entire process creates a real, technologically closed loop of material within our group.

We treat this model as an element of long-term improvement, not a one-off initiative. That's why we are simultaneously developing our team's competencies. On November 17–18, 2025, CEZAR employees – the ESG team – participated in a two-day training course as part of the Circular Economy Academy, led by Dr. Agnieszka Wyciślik-Kupicha and Dr. Mateusz Wilewski. The training, fully financed by European Union funds, took place at our headquarters.

Its goal was to enhance competencies in sustainable development, deepen knowledge of circular economy principles, and prepare the company for further improvement of environmental processes in accordance with European ESRS standards in the context of the circular economy.

Certified Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2015

CEZAR implemented an environmental management system compliant with ISO 14001:2015 in 2020 and obtained a certificate confirming the system's compliance with the standard's requirements.

"CEZAR-NORD PLAST" Sp. z o.o. implemented an environmental management system in 2024 and also obtained ISO 14001:2015 certification.
