Substrate inspection (Crucial step): Before you reach for the drill, make sure that there are no installations (e.g., electrical wires or heating pipes) running in the threshold. You can use a specialized detector. In our case, we detected hidden installations, which calls for particular caution.

Cutting the profile: Measure the distance between the doorframes and cut the profile to the appropriate size. You will achieve the best, clean edges using an angle grinder (a.k.a. flex) with a metal cutting disc.

Drilling holes: Mark the points and drill mounting holes in the floor. Use a $6\text{ mm}$ concrete drill bit and remember to use all the dowels from the kit.

Reinforcing the strip: Insert the dowels (pins) into the special guide channel on the underside of the strip. Configure their spacing to match the drilled slots.

Proper tapping: Mount the strip by pressing it together with the dowels into the holes. Then tap the strip with a hammer, always doing so through a wooden block to avoid damaging or scratching its surface.
Method 2: Quick adhesive mounting
The second, much simpler mounting method, which eliminates the risk of damaging hidden installations in the screed, is to use an adhesive layer.
Step by step:

Surface preparation: Thoroughly clean, dust, and degrease the surface of the panels and tiles at the expansion joint. The substrate must be perfectly dry.

Application: Remove the protective paper from the factory adhesive tape on the back of the profile (or apply chemically neutral mounting adhesive in a wavy motion).

Pressing: Turn the profile over with the adhesive facing the substrate and precisely press the strip along its entire length.
